Mumbai, April 29: Outrage is escalating following the shooting of delivery boy Pandav Kumar by Head Constable Neeraj of the Delhi Police’s Special Cell last Saturday. The incident, which occurred while Neeraj was allegedly intoxicated, has sparked widespread anger among the public.
Bhojpuri singer Khesari Lal Yadav has been vocal in questioning the Delhi government about the incident. He recently retweeted a post comparing the treatment of people from Bihar to that of the Baloch people in Pakistan, calling for unity among Biharis.
Yadav highlighted the incident on social media, pointing out that Biharis have faced discrimination in other states based on language and economic status. He expressed concern that innocent Biharis are now being killed. In a tweet, he urged all Biharis to come together, stating, “It seems you were right, but now it’s too late for words. Let every Bihari create an example that will deter anyone from even thinking about committing such heinous acts in Delhi.”
The singer retweeted a message from a user named Sanjeev Singh, which read, “What Pakistan does to Baloch and Pashtun people, India does the same to Biharis.” Yadav has previously tweeted multiple times about the incident, labeling it as a punishment for being from Bihar.
Reports indicate that Head Constable Neeraj allegedly asked for Kumar’s name before opening fire upon learning he was from Bihar. Kumar died at the scene, while his friend, who was with him, is currently fighting for his life in the hospital.
