Oppo Reorganises Brands, Realme Returns as Sub-Brand

Oppo is restructuring its internal brand framework by bringing Realme back as an official sub-brand, according to a report from Lei Feng Network. This strategic move aims to enhance collaboration and resource sharing within the company without impacting upcoming product launches.

Under the new arrangement, Oppo will serve as the main brand, with OnePlus and Realme operating as two distinct sub-brands, each pursuing their own market approach. Leadership roles have been clarified to improve operational efficiency. Realme founder and CEO Sky Li will oversee all sub-brand operations, while Li Jie remains in charge of OnePlus in China, maintaining his existing responsibilities.

A significant part of the transition involves integrating Realme fully into Oppo’s after-sales service network. This integration is expected to boost service quality and coverage for customers, especially in key markets. Despite these organizational changes, Realme’s product plans will continue uninterrupted, with new devices launching as scheduled and the brand maintaining its current market positioning.

According to DCS, Oppo’s group structure now clearly includes Oppo as the primary brand, supported by OnePlus and Realme as complementary sub-brands. Realme’s seamless integration into the after-sales system is a crucial aspect of this reorganisation. The brand’s launch timeline remains on track, with the Realme Neo 8 set to debut this month in China.
