Beijing, March 9: Oppo has officially announced that the highly anticipated Find N6 foldable smartphone will be launched in China on March 17. In preparation for the release, the company has shared its first teaser video, showcasing the phone’s design and color options. The Find N6 aims to tackle a significant issue with foldable devices: the noticeable crease on the inner display.
Oppo’s Solution to Minimize Display Crease
Oppo has engineered the Find N6 with a new approach that incorporates a titanium alloy hinge and a specialized memory glass layer. This innovative design is intended to reduce the crease and maintain a flatter display surface, even after extended use.
The hinge structure is designed to effectively distribute physical stress when the phone is folded or unfolded. Additionally, the memory glass is engineered to restore the display’s flatness upon opening the device. Oppo claims this design could significantly lessen crease visibility compared to previous foldable models.
The Find N6 will also support a new Oppo AI stylus, enhancing the functionality of its large internal display. This stylus aims to facilitate writing, note-taking, and creative tasks on the foldable screen.
The Oppo Find N6 will be available in three striking colors: Golden Orange, Original Titanium, and Deep Black. It will come in three configurations: 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB, with satellite connectivity support.
Leaked specifications indicate that the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered foldable phone may feature an 8.12-inch inner display and a 6.62-inch cover screen. The device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite series processor and include a battery capacity nearing 6000mAh, along with fast charging capabilities. The rear camera setup is anticipated to comprise a 200-megapixel Samsung HP5 primary sensor, complemented by two 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 sensors for ultra-wide and periscope telephoto photography.
