
New Delhi, March 3: The Delhi Police announced on Tuesday that under ‘Operation Milap’, the Southwest District Police successfully located and reunited 118 missing individuals, including 31 missing or abducted children and 87 adults, with their families between February 1 and 28.
Police officials stated that the district police demonstrated remarkable dedication and compassion in locating the missing persons and ensuring their safe return.
During the first two months of 2026 (from January 1 to February 28), a total of 193 missing persons were found and reunited with their families, comprising 59 minors and 134 adults.
According to the Southwest District Police, search operations commenced immediately upon receiving reports of missing or abducted individuals. Extensive local investigations played a crucial role in their search. Police teams reviewed CCTV footage and circulated photographs of the missing persons at auto stands, e-rickshaw stands, bus terminals, and railway stations.
They monitored activities by questioning bus drivers, conductors, and local vendors. Assistance from local informants was also sought, and thorough checks were conducted at nearby police stations and hospitals.
These coordinated efforts led to significant successes across several police stations within the Southwest District. The Vasant Vihar Police Station located nine missing individuals (two men and seven women). The RK Puram Police Station found one missing boy and six other missing persons (two men and four women).
The South Campus Police Station identified two missing girls and one missing boy. The Vasant Kunj North Police Station located two missing girls and seven adults (one man and six women). The Vasant Kunj South Police Station found three missing children (one boy and two girls) and six adults (one man and five women).
The Kapashera Police Station identified nine children (one boy and eight girls) and 15 adults (five men and ten women). The Palam Village Police Station located six children (one boy and five girls) and 11 adults (six men and five women). The Sagarpur Police Station found five missing girls and 11 adults (four men and seven women).
The Delhi Cantt Police Station identified one missing woman. The Sarojini Nagar Police Station located four missing persons (one man and three women). The SJ Enclave Police Station found one missing girl and 13 adults (ten men and three women).
The Kishangarh Police Station located two missing girls and three adults (one man and two women), recovering individuals from various areas.
