New Delhi, Mar 4 : A total of 17 special flights from Ukraine’s neighbouring countries landed in the country on Friday carrying a total of 3772 Indians back home. Over 9364 Indians have been evacuated by 43 special civilian flights so far under Operation Ganga, while seven flights of IAF’s C-17 aircraft have evacuated 1428 passengers so far, Ministry of Civil Aviation said. “Today’s civilian flights included 4 from Bucharest, 2 from Kosice, 4 from Budapest, 3 from Rzeszow and 2 from Suceava, while IAF flew 2 flights from Bucharest and 1 from Budapest,” it said. The total number of Indian nationals evacuated from war torn Ukraine under Operation Ganga so far are 10792. The IAF C-17 aircraft have taken 9.7 tonnes of relief material for Ukraine so far, government said. “11 special civilian flights are expected to bring back more than 2200 Indians tomorrow with 10 landing in New Delhi and one in Mumbai. Four C-17 aircraft are airborne for Romania, Poland and Slovakia, which are expected to reach late at night and early morning tomorrow,” government said. ASU SHK1914
