Operation Aghaat Aims to Make Delhi Crime-Free: CP Sanjay Kumar Jain

New Delhi, March 3: CP Sanjay Kumar Jain provided insights on ‘Operation Aghaat.’ He stated that this initiative aims to curb crime in the national capital, Delhi. The operation is focused on taking stringent actions against street crimes to ensure a crime-free environment for the residents of Delhi.

In a conversation with reporters on Tuesday, he mentioned that Operation Aghaat commenced on February 1 and 2, in light of the upcoming Holi festival. The primary goal is to control crime in Delhi and convey a message that the police will not tolerate any criminal activities. “Our team is fully committed to this mission, and we have developed a comprehensive framework to guide our efforts. We are confident that we will achieve our objectives,” he added.

CP Sanjay Kumar emphasized the police’s strict stance on crime in Delhi. He expressed that through such operations, the police aim to reassure the public that they are dedicated to taking firm action against criminals. “We cannot accept any compromises in this matter,” he stated.

He noted that under this operation, numerous individuals have faced strict actions. The initiative aims to provide a safe environment for Delhi’s residents, with zero tolerance for negligence. Over 200 individuals have been arrested for various crimes, and more than 550 have been apprehended for drinking in public.

CP Sanjay Kumar reiterated the commitment to continue Operation Aghaat to ensure strict actions against criminals. “We will not accept any laxity in this direction, as our sole aim is to make Delhi crime-free,” he concluded.
