Bhubaneswar, March 25 : In a tragic incident, Inspector in Charge (IC) Deb Gamang of Gangapur police station in Ganjam district died on Friday when his service revolver went off accidentally. A seriously injured Gamang was rushed to Aska hospital, but the doctors declared him dead. Police sources said the incident happened at the government quarter of the IIC on Friday afternoon. Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Ray said the IIC who had joined his new posting only three months back was in depression. The body has been sent for post mortem. Details are awaited. DP SSP
