The NIA has initiated action in the cases related to criminal conspiracy hatched by the office bearers, members and cadres of PFI.

According to sources, the PFI officials were raising funds through banking channels and donations from the country and foreign countries, which were being used for terror and anti-national activities. PFI was planning to carry out terror activities in many states of India including Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.

So far no details have been provided by the NIA. Earlier too, the NIA had raided more than 100 PFI locations across the country and detained a large number of people. In this, more than 50 people were detained from UP, against whom they were released after taking preventive action.

Security agencies have become alert after PFI’s links with AQIS and JMB terrorist organizations. It may be noted that the PFI has already been banned by the Central Government.
