Jerusalem, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Monday that the nation has achieved another significant victory against Hezbollah. He confirmed that efforts to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure within Lebanon’s security zone will persist.
In a statement shared on the social media platform X, Netanyahu emphasized, “We have achieved another major victory against Hezbollah. We have destroyed its key terrorist strongholds on the Beaufort Ridge and Ali al-Taher Ridge. Our policy is clear: we will continue to eliminate the terrorist infrastructure present in Lebanon’s security zone. Israel will not tolerate any threats.”
Netanyahu also issued a stern warning to Israel’s adversaries, stating that if they fail to learn from their past mistakes and choose to attack again, they will face even greater consequences. He noted that there is still work to be done, and with God’s help, it will be completed.
Meanwhile, last month, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun reported positive progress in recent talks in Rome concerning border disputes and the return of prisoners between Israel and Lebanon.
During a cabinet meeting on August 7, Aoun revealed that discussions in Rome addressed four key issues: ceasefire, demolition actions, border matters, and the return of prisoners, as well as the identification of pilot areas. He expressed hope that practical steps on these issues would emerge soon.
According to local media, the three-day talks in Rome were aimed at implementing the framework agreement established in Washington at the end of June, focusing on enhancing security arrangements along the border. Hezbollah has consistently opposed these negotiations.
