Patna, April 28: Bihar BJP President Sanjay Sarawagi stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is correct in identifying the challenging situation in West Bengal. Under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee, the TMC government has left the people of Bengal distressed.
Concerns have been raised regarding the issue of infiltration, which is believed to have impacted the demographic structure and resource distribution in the region. The Prime Minister’s appeal has gained momentum from the overwhelming support observed during the first phase of elections, where voters expressed their anger and participated in large numbers.
BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav noted that the campaigning for the second phase of elections in West Bengal has concluded. Prime Minister Modi has urged the people of Bengal that after 15 years of Mamata Banerjee’s rule, it is now time for progress, development, and the welfare of all. He encouraged citizens to bless the BJP with their votes, promising to build a beautiful Bengal that ensures respect, job opportunities, housing, peace, and harmony for its people.
Regarding the deployment of IPS Ajay Pal Sharma for the West Bengal elections, Sanjay Sarawagi explained that the Election Commission invites observers from across the country to participate in the electoral process. He is also serving as an observer and is traveling throughout the state. Any criminal activity or intimidation of voters will be addressed accordingly.
JD(U) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha remarked that reports from West Bengal indicate a trend in favor of the NDA. Previously, there was an atmosphere of anti-incumbency and fear, but now voters are stepping out to cast their ballots. Journalists covering the first phase have reported an overall electoral environment leaning towards the NDA.
JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Prasad expressed optimism that the BJP is expected to gain a strong lead and win a significant number of seats in the first phase. This momentum is likely to continue into the second phase, while the TMC is facing setbacks from the public. It is being suggested that the TMC government may soon be ousted, paving the way for a BJP-led government.
