NDA Leaders Claim Victory in All Eight Bihar MLC Seats
NDA leaders in Bihar express confidence in winning all eight MLC seats, countering opposition narratives ahead of elections.

New Delhi, October 27 (Daily Kiran) : Political tensions are rising in Bihar ahead of the upcoming MLC elections. Shyam Rajak, the national general secretary of the Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)], expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will secure victory in all eight seats. Meanwhile, Sanjay Sarawagi, president of the Bihar Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accused the Congress and the INDIA alliance of spreading misinformation across the country.
Rajak stated in Patna that the public is firmly behind the NDA. “Our victory is a victory for the people. They have seen the work of our candidates and are benefiting from our party’s initiatives,” he said. He highlighted the positive impact of educational reforms, asserting that these efforts have transformed lives and garnered significant public support for the NDA.
He contrasted the NDA with the INDIA alliance, criticizing the opposition for gathering in one place to celebrate rather than reaching out to the community. Rajak accused the opposition of using wealth acquired through corruption, which he claims was earned by the public.
Bihar Minister Ramkripal Yadav responded to allegations of bribing voters, suggesting that these claims are made by losing candidates. He mentioned a petition related to this issue that has been filed in the Supreme Court. According to Yadav, the Election Commission confirmed that its decisions are made unanimously.
In Delhi, BJP’s Sarawagi accused the Congress and the INDIA alliance of attempting to create a false narrative nationwide. In response, the BJP has launched a campaign titled “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy,” which will run from October 23 to November 5. Sarawagi noted that extensive preparations have been made in Bihar for this campaign, which aims to address the opposition’s accusations.
Additionally, Bihar Minister Santosh Suman commented on the proposed INDIA alliance rally scheduled for November 1 at Ram Leela Maidan in Delhi. He affirmed that everyone has the right to express their views in a democracy and stated that the public will ultimately decide the outcome.
Suman criticized the Congress, pointing out that the oldest party in the country, once the largest, is now increasingly weakened. He also questioned the unity of the INDIA alliance, suggesting it is merely nominal.
