Patna: Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal inaugurated the Women Pankh Haat event held in Patna on Friday. The programme was also attended by Minister Ashok Chaudhary and Bihar Assembly Speaker Prem Kumar. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Jaiswal emphasised that the NDA government is fully committed to the holistic development of women entrepreneurship.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the Women Pankh Haat, Dilip Jaiswal said this initiative encourages women entrepreneurs by connecting their products to the market and empowering them towards self-reliance. He highlighted that such platforms not only recognise women’s talent, hard work, and innovation but also play a vital role in the economic empowerment of the state.
Sharing more about the event, Jaiswal mentioned that the Pankh Haat, organised by the Bhumihar women community, is being held for the fifth time. He called it an excellent initiative that demonstrates how women are being empowered and motivated for self-employment. The event provides a valuable opportunity for learning and exposure.
In a separate comment, Bihar Minister Ashok Chaudhary responded to former Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari’s statement calling Ghazni and Lodi “Indian looters.” Chaudhary said that the history taught in NCERT books, which are government-approved, does not support such claims. He questioned why Ansari, while serving as Vice President, did not oppose or seek to change these historical narratives, adding that such remarks appear to be made only for media attention.
Regarding the Bihar Assembly budget session, Speaker Prem Kumar said that the all-party meeting decided the session will begin on February 2 and run until February 27. He noted that legislators will have sufficient time to prepare for legislative work and participate effectively. The government will present the budget, and the Governor’s address will take place during the session. Leaders from all parties were invited to ensure the session’s success.
