Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh), Apr 15 : Maoists made an abortive attempt on Friday to blow up a bridge in highly-restive Sukma district of Left-wing extremism-affected Bastar division, police said. While the rebels were attempting to demolish the structure, CRPF and District Reserve Guard personnel rushed to the scene and the ultras fled on observing the approaching force. However, an initial blast triggered by the insurgents partially damaged the bridge. A team has been despatched for repair. XC-AC
