Naxals attack CRPF camp in Chhattisgarh

Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh), Mar 21 : Three personnel sustained injuries in heavy firing on Monday during a Maoist assault on a CRPF camp recently set up at Elmagunda adjoining Chintagufa Police Station limits in Sukma – an extremely restive district within Left-wing extremism-affected Bastar division. “The victims – namely constables Basappa, Lalit Bagh and Hemant Chaudhary – are reported to be stable. Members of the Force took up positions and returned fire resulting in the hitherto- dentified rebels fleeing under cover of forest,” Inspector General (Bastar Range) Sundarraj Pattilingam confirmed.
