Nation remembers Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his second death anniversary

They paid floral tributes to the leader on his second death anniversary. President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday unveiled the portrait of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his second death anniversary, at the headquarters of Indian Council for Cultural Relations in Delhi. 

Speaking on the occasion, President Kovind said, Atal Bihari Vajpayee established India as a new power in front of the world. He said, Vajpayee ji always emphasized good relations with all countries, especially the neighbors. He quoted the former Prime Minister who used to say  friends can be changed but not neighbors. 

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah too remembered and paid tributes to Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his second death anniversary. He said, Vajpayee was the voice of Patriotism and Indian Culture.

Union Minister Amit Shah said, the former Prime Minister was not only a great politician but also a skilled organiser who played an important role in laying the foundation and further expanding the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said, Vajpayee inspired millions of people to join the party and work for the nation.

Union Minister Amit Shah said, the country witnessed good governance for the first time under the tenure of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He said, where on one hand he initiated developmental projects like Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, National Highway Development Project , on the other , he is also credited with laying the strong foundation of the country by conducting Pokhran Nuclear Tests and registering the Kargil victory in the country’s name.

Home Minister said, the current government is committed to make India a superpower by its pro-poor and good governance policies which are centred around ideals established by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar paid tributes to the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his second death anniversary today. He said, Vajpayee will remain an inspiration for all in years to come.  Union Minister Javadekar said, the strong personality of the former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee helped in building the foundations of a strong India and a strong party.
