Motherson Sumi Systems falls even after turning black in Q1

Motherson Sumi Systems is currently trading at Rs. 222.40, down by 8.50 points or 3.68% from its previous closing of Rs. 230.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 231.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 237.20 and Rs. 220.65 respectively. So far 2318316 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘A’ stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 273.00 on 02-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 99.25 on 10-Aug-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 242.70 and Rs. 220.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 71400.89 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.73%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.88% and 8.39% respectively.

Motherson Sumi Systems has reported net profit from continuing and discontinued operations of Rs 446.48 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2021 as compared to net loss of Rs 1,191.65 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 94.29% at Rs 16,312.13 crore for Q1FY22 as compared to Rs 8395.66 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported net profit from continuing and discontinued operations of Rs 180.54 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2021 as compared to net loss of Rs 125.29 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company jumped by 4-fold at Rs 1,182.32 crore for Q1FY22 as compared to Rs 289.62 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
