New Delhi, December 7. Many of us spend a lot on expensive products and medicines to get rid of skin issues like blemishes, pigmentation, and dark circles. But have you ever thought that saliva formed in the mouth can be effective in curing these problems?
According to Ayurvedic experts, saliva is the most powerful and free medicine produced by the body. Specialists advise never to spit out stale saliva but to swallow it because it contains 18 essential nutrients beneficial for the body. This saliva can heal even old wounds, gangrene, eczema, psoriasis, and skin blemishes.
Wounds that do not heal despite medicines for months can start showing improvement by applying morning saliva daily and may heal completely. It is also miraculous for the eyes. Applying morning saliva to the eyes can improve vision, and red eyes can heal within 24 hours. Dark circles under the eyes also gradually disappear. However, it is important to apply it quickly as the alkalinity of saliva decreases 48 minutes after waking up.
The best time to use saliva is in the early morning, especially during Brahma Muhurat (around 4 to 5 AM). Ayurveda and naturopathy call this morning saliva ‘Amrit’ (nectar). Its pH level can reach up to 8.4, making it alkaline and rich in medicinal properties.
Doctors note that sodium lauryl sulfate, a chemical found in many modern toothpastes, damages the glands that produce saliva. Chewing neem twigs and swallowing the saliva formed during this process is very beneficial for health. People who consume paan are advised to eat green paan without catechu, betel nut, or tobacco. Adding fennel, carom seeds, cloves, cardamom, rose syrup, and lime to paan reduces the need to spit saliva and balances the body’s three doshas: kapha, pitta, and vata.
Naturopathy experts say saliva is nature’s cheapest and most effective cure.
