Kolkata, May 11: West Bengal Minister Dilip Ghosh has targeted TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee over his recent statements regarding the elections. In an interview with a news agency, Ghosh remarked that everything was fine when Banerjee was winning; the EVMs and the Election Commission were all acceptable. However, now that they have lost, he claims manipulation has occurred. Society cannot tolerate such behavior.
Ghosh’s wife, Rinku Majumdar, emphasized that all necessary measures will be implemented for women’s safety. She stated that incidents occurring in Bengal must not happen again, and they will adopt a zero-tolerance approach to ensure this.
Recently, Abhishek Banerjee posted on ‘X’ that under the guidance of TMC leader Mamata Banerjee, their fight for democracy, constitutional values, and people’s rights will continue. He mentioned that they faced a challenging election, during which approximately 3 million legitimate voters were allegedly removed from the voter list. Throughout this process, the behavior of various government agencies and the Election Commission appeared biased.
Banerjee expressed concerns about the integrity of democratic institutions, which should operate impartially but have come under scrutiny. This raises serious questions about the fairness, credibility, and transparency of the electoral process in West Bengal.
