Srinagar, March 15 ( : Security forces shot dead an dentified militant in an encounter in Kashmir on Tuesday, officials said on Tuesday. The encounter erupted at Charsoo village in Awantipora sub district of South Kashmir during an anti militancy operation. “As the security forces zeroed in on the hiding terrorists, they were fired upon, triggering an encounter. In the gunfight so far one terrorist has been killed,” they said. Police said the operation is still underway. MJR ACL0933
