May 9 Panchang: Auspicious Timing for New Beginnings and Important Decisions

New Delhi, May 8: In Sanatan Dharma, the Panchang’s five components (Tithi, Vaar, Karan, Yog, and Nakshatra) determine the day’s auspicious and inauspicious timings. On May 9, 2026, the seventh Tithi of the Krishna Paksha in Jyeshtha month will prevail. This day features both Abhijit Muhurat and Vijay Muhurat, which are particularly beneficial for auspicious activities.

On May 9, sunrise will occur at 5:34 AM, while sunset will be at 7:01 PM. The seventh Tithi will last until 2:02 PM, after which the eighth Tithi will commence. However, according to Uday Tithi, the seventh Tithi will be considered valid throughout the day. The Nakshatra Shravana will be in effect until 11:24 PM, followed by the Nakshatra Dhanishta. The Shukla Yog will last until 2:36 AM on May 10. Karan Bava will be valid until 2:02 PM, after which Balav Karan will take over.

If you are planning new ventures, travel, auspicious events, or important decisions, take advantage of the Vijay Muhurat and Abhijit Muhurat. Scholars advise exercising caution during Rahukal and other inauspicious timings. Proper utilization of time, as per the Panchang, increases the likelihood of success in endeavors.

Regarding Saturday’s auspicious timings and Yog, Brahma Muhurat will be from 4:10 AM to 4:52 AM. Abhijit Muhurat will be from 11:51 AM to 12:45 PM. Vijay Muhurat will occur between 2:32 PM and 3:26 PM, making it an excellent time for auspicious activities when combined with Abhijit Muhurat. Additionally, Amrit Kaal will last from 12:06 PM to 1:51 PM, and Godhuli Muhurat will be from 7:00 PM to 7:21 PM. Sarvartha Siddhi Yog will be in effect from 5:34 AM to 11:24 PM.
