Aurangabad, Feb 25 : The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 68 fresh cases of Covid-19 during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed on Friday. Besides, two deaths were also recorded in the past 24 hours in the region. Reports collected by from the all district headquarters stated that of eight districts in the region, Aurangabad district recorded 12 cases and single death, followed by Latur 8 cases and one death, Hingoli 22, Osmanabad 9, Parbhani 8, Beed 5, Nanded 3 and Jalna 2 cases. Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours,1,182 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 78,62,650. The state also registered 19 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,43,675. Meanwhile, 2,516 patients also recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 77,04,733. The recovery rate currently stands at 97.98 per cent while the fatality rate is 1.82 per cent. At present, there are 10,250 active cases across Maharashtra, the health authorities said. VKB GK
