Major Fire Erupts at Scrap Warehouse in Ghaziabad, Quick Action Prevents Disaster

Ghaziabad, April 12: Panic ensued in the Gagan Vihar Bhupura area of Ghaziabad district on Saturday when a massive fire broke out at a scrap warehouse near the Jahar Peer temple. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported in this incident.

According to reports, the fire department received a call about the blaze at approximately 2:29 PM. Responding swiftly, a fire tender unit along with the officer in charge was dispatched to the scene. Additionally, a fire tender stationed at Teela Mod was also sent to assist.

Upon arrival, firefighters found that the fire had escalated rapidly and was spreading quickly. The seriousness of the situation posed a threat to nearby residential buildings. The Chief Fire Officer (CFO) was immediately informed of the situation.

Following the CFO’s instructions, additional fire tenders from the Loni and Vaishali fire stations were also sent to the location. Within a short time, the CFO arrived at the scene and directed the firefighters to encircle the flames and initiate a firefighting operation.

Through hard work, prompt action, and strategic planning, the fire team successfully brought the blaze under control. They managed to protect the surrounding homes, averting a potential disaster. After extinguishing the fire, an inspection revealed that the blaze likely started from sparks generated while cooking with wood, which ignited nearby debris.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in this incident.
