
Ghaziabad, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : A significant fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon in an apartment located in the Parsvnath Majestic residential complex in Vaibhav Khand, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. The incident occurred around 1:32 PM, prompting an immediate response from the fire department. Two fire trucks and a water bowser were dispatched to the scene under the leadership of the station officer from the Vaishali fire station.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that flames were rapidly engulfing apartment D-304 on the third floor. The unit is owned by 60-year-old Anita Khetarpal. The fire generated thick smoke and intense flames, causing panic among residents of nearby flats.
Following the direction of the chief fire officer, firefighters quickly initiated operations to extinguish the blaze. They deployed hoses from the third floor and entered the apartment while adhering to safety protocols. The team worked efficiently, directing water onto the flames, and managed to control the fire swiftly.
Thanks to the promptness and coordination of the fire department, the fire was contained before it could spread to adjacent apartments, averting a potential disaster. Fortunately, no one was inside the flat during the incident, as residents evacuated the building promptly upon learning of the fire. Anita Khetarpal was present at the scene.
While there were no reported injuries or fatalities, the fire caused significant damage to household items within the apartment. After extinguishing the flames, the fire department assessed the situation to ensure that there was no risk of rekindling.
