New Delhi, April 4: The Anti Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has intensified its campaign against drugs, leading to the arrest of a female drug trafficker in the Shahdara area. Authorities seized 56.39 grams of smack from her, with an estimated market value of around 2 million rupees.
This operation took place on April 2, 2026, following credible information that a woman was involved in the sale of smack in the New Seemapuri area. The suspect, known as Jetun, alias Widow, has been engaged in this illegal trade for a long time.
Under the leadership of Inspector Vinod Kumar, a team was formed, including Sub-Inspector Dheer, Assistant Sub-Inspector Shokinder, Head Constables Rajesh, Vedpal, Pankaj, Arjun, Deepak, and female constable Shivani. The operation was monitored by ACP Mohit Singh. The team executed a planned raid at the fish market in New Seemapuri and apprehended the accused woman.
Upon searching her, police discovered a small polyethylene packet containing 56.39 grams of smack hidden in her clothing. After the seizure, authorities completed all legal procedures and registered a case against her under the NDPS Act at the Seemapuri police station.
During interrogation, the woman revealed the supplier from whom she procured the drugs. Police are now conducting further raids to dismantle the entire drug supply network.
Jetun, approximately 60 years old and a resident of the fish market in New Seemapuri, previously earned her living by selling vegetables. Due to financial difficulties, she fell into bad company and turned to drug trafficking. According to police, she has been involved in a previous NDPS Act case, indicating her familiarity with this illegal activity.
The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to reach others connected to this network.
