
Lucknow, August 24: The Uttar Pradesh government has executed a significant administrative reshuffle late last night. A total of 17 IAS officers have been transferred, along with changes in responsibilities for several senior officials.
This reshuffle affects the divisional commissioner level, revenue council, development departments, and the state secretariat.
The most notable changes occurred in the Aligarh and Moradabad divisions. Sangeeta Singh, the current divisional commissioner of Aligarh, has been appointed as the new divisional commissioner of Moradabad. She will replace IAS officer Anjaney Kumar Singh, whose deputation ended on August 14. Following the completion of his deputation, Anjaney Kumar Singh has been sent back to his home cadre in Sikkim.
Om Prakash Arya, who was serving as a member (judicial) in the revenue council in Prayagraj, has been appointed as the new divisional commissioner of Aligarh.
Significant changes have also been made in the Ayush and rural development departments. Gauri Shankar Priyadarshi, who was the commissioner of rural development and secretary of the rural development department, has been appointed as the director general of Ayush and mission director of the National Ayush Mission, Uttar Pradesh.
Pramod Kumar Upadhyay, the secretary of the social welfare department, has been appointed as the commissioner of rural development in Uttar Pradesh. Ravindra Kumar has been made the secretary of the urban development department and relieved of his additional charge as managing director of the Uttar Pradesh Water Corporation (Urban) and state mission director of AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation).
Dr. Raj Shekhar, who previously served as the managing director of the Uttar Pradesh Water Corporation (Rural), has been appointed as the secretary of the planning department and director general of economics and statistics. Yogesh Kumar, the commissioner of cooperation and registrar, will now work as the managing director of the Uttar Pradesh Water Corporation (Rural).
In other changes, Devendra Kumar Pandey from the agricultural production commissioner branch has been appointed as special secretary in the consumer affairs department. Vivek Srivastava, secretary of the Lucknow Development Authority, has been appointed as special secretary in the animal husbandry department.
Amrit Tripathi, secretary of the higher education department, has been made a member (judicial) of the revenue council in Prayagraj. Om Prakash Rai, who was serving as a member (judicial) in the revenue council in Prayagraj, has been appointed as special secretary in the higher education department.
This latest reshuffle is seen as a significant reorganization of the state’s senior administrative structure, assigning important field and departmental responsibilities to various officials.
