Mahavir Jayanti celebration across the Marathwada

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, April 14 : The 2621st Birth anniversary of Bhagwan Mahavir being celebrated with traditional fervour and enthusiasm in the entire eight districts region of Marathwada after the gap of two consecutive years. During the past two years it was celebrated simply manner due to covid pandemic. Reports reaching from the different parts in the region stated that, on this occasion, various religious cultural and social programmes, including processions, flag hoisting programmes, vehicle rallies, blood donation camps, health camps, free meals and devotional concerts were organized at various places in the region to mark this day. In Aurangabad city, Sakal Jain Samaj (SJS) president, Rajendra Darda unfurled the religion flag this morning at Mahaveer Chowk located near Baba petrol pumps. Other office bearers of SJS were also present. Palkhi, Shoba yatra were also taken out from Paithan gate area in presence of jains spiritual gurus other sadhu saint along with all political parties, elected representatives and entire Jain comm ty members. On this occasion Palkhis, shobhayatra being taken out from different Jain temples across the city later in day . The police has set up adequate security arrangements during the procession. VKB GNK
