Maharashtra CM to Invite President Murmu for Flag Hoisting Ceremony at Kumbh Mela

Mumbai, October 21 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will be in Delhi on Wednesday to meet President Droupadi Murmu. The meeting is part of the preparations for the upcoming Kumbh Mela in Nashik, Maharashtra. During this visit, Fadnavis will extend an invitation to the President for the flag hoisting ceremony scheduled for October 31.

The flag hoisting event marks the official commencement of the Kumbh Mela. It is expected to be a grand and organized affair, adhering to religious traditions. Both the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, along with Sunetra Pawar, are anticipated to be present at the ceremony.

The flag hoisting will take place simultaneously at two significant locations: Ramkund Ghat in Nashik and Kushavart Kund near the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga temple. The event is set for October 31 at precisely 12:02 PM, and a large number of devotees are expected to attend.

Preparations for the Kumbh Mela have been in full swing, with a crucial meeting held in September involving the Kumbh Mela administration and the Kumbh Mela authority. This meeting, chaired by Kumbh Mela Minister Girish Mahajan, included participation from saints, representatives of various akhadas, and administrative officials.

Minister Mahajan revealed plans for President Murmu to perform the flag hoisting at one location, while Chief Minister Fadnavis will oversee the ceremony at the other site. Several leaders from both the central and state governments are also expected to be present.

Discussions during the meeting addressed various logistical concerns, including security, traffic management, cleanliness, parking, emergency arrangements, and overall administrative coordination to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
