Madhya Pradesh Secures ₹8,635 Crore Investment Proposals at Ahmedabad Dialogue

Ahmedabad, August 12: Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals worth ₹8,635 crore during the Mega Investment Dialogue held in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. These proposals are expected to create over 5,785 job opportunities in the state. The event saw participation from more than 500 industrialists, investors, and corporate representatives from major industrial hubs in Gujarat, including Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, and Vadodara.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav addressed the “Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh,” emphasizing that the state is a land of limitless potential for industry, trade, and new investments. He assured investors that the state government would provide every possible facility, security, and support.

Yadav highlighted the need for a robust policy, clear intent, and a cooperative government for industrial operations, stating that Madhya Pradesh offers all three. He also invited Gujarat’s industrial community to participate in the upcoming Global Investors Summit 2027.

The Chief Minister remarked that Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are like “twin brothers.” He noted that while Gujarat possesses technology, trade, and industrial experience, Madhya Pradesh boasts abundant water resources, a large land bank, and logistical advantages due to its central location in the country. The partnership between the two states could pave the way for a new chapter in industrial development.

He pointed out that there are extensive opportunities in Madhya Pradesh for Gujarat’s petrochemical, chemical, textile, pharma, food processing, and automobile sectors. Projects like the Bina Petrochemical Project, Ujjain Medical Device Park, Dhar’s PM Mitra Park, and the Pithampur Automobile Hub could further strengthen collaboration between the two states. Over the past two and a half years, Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals exceeding ₹34 lakh crore, with more than ₹10 lakh crore already materializing. The state has attracted ₹7.19 lakh crore in sectors like renewable energy, pumped hydro, and biomass.

The Chief Minister assured investors that they need not worry about electricity, water, or land in the state. There is ample electricity supply, industrial land available at concessional rates, and ‘plug and play’ industrial zones are being developed. Approximately 19,000 acres of land are being allocated for 48 new industrial parks. Additionally, the state boasts over 5 lakh kilometers of road networks, strong rail connectivity, 8 airports, and 6 inland container depots, providing better connectivity for investors.

During the investment dialogue, the Chief Minister held one-on-one meetings with over 15 major industrial groups, including Arvind Limited, Torrent Power, Chiripal Group, Goldcrest Cement, Gujarat Ambuja, Agios Polyfilms, and Eris Lifesciences.

He detailed that significant investment proposals include Goldcrest Cement (₹3,000 crore, 1,500 jobs), Agios Polyfilms (₹2,500 crore, 1,000 jobs), Gujarat Ambuja Exports (₹1,200 crore, 500 jobs), Eris Lifesciences (₹500 crore, 800 jobs), Raghav Woven LLP (₹250 crore, 400 jobs), Bhavya Machine Tools (₹250 crore, 300 jobs), Jay Chemical Industries (₹200 crore, 100 jobs), and Balaji Multiplex (₹200 crore, 100 jobs).

The Chief Minister stated that these proposals could lead to a total investment of ₹8,635 crore and the creation of 5,785 jobs. He urged investors to become partners in Madhya Pradesh’s development, asserting that the state is rapidly emerging as one of the most attractive investment destinations for industries in the country.
