Bhopal, August 24: Central Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the launch of ‘Mama Coaching Classes’ in Raisen district, Madhya Pradesh, aimed at students preparing for competitive exams. This initiative seeks to provide quality coaching locally, reducing reliance on expensive private coaching institutes.
Chouhan made this announcement during the Prem Sundar Meritorious Student Award Ceremony held in Raisen. He distributed laptops to outstanding students from classes 10 and 12 and inaugurated the Sandipani School. Additionally, he participated in the application program for the Azim Premji Foundation’s scholarship scheme for girls.
Applications for ‘Mama Coaching Classes’ will be accepted from September 10 to 15, with a written examination scheduled for September 20. Following the selection and interview process, regular classes will commence on October 5. This coaching program will prepare students for MPPPSC, SSC, banking, and other competitive exams conducted by state and central governments.
Chouhan emphasized that instead of covering individual student fees, the decision was made to provide better coaching in Raisen. For students who cannot secure direct admission, online coaching options will also be considered.
He stated that no child’s education should be affected by their financial circumstances. He stressed the need for government schools to offer facilities comparable to private institutions.
“Government schools should not just be buildings but institutions where children can realize their dreams,” he said.
The Sandipani School in Raisen was built at a cost of approximately ₹38.38 crores. Chouhan highlighted that such schools should feature modern laboratories, libraries, smart classrooms, playgrounds, and facilities for activities like sports, music, dance, and painting.
The minister also announced plans to provide skill training aligned with industry needs for the youth. He acknowledged that not every young person can secure a government job, making it essential to prepare them for other employment opportunities.
He mentioned that this initiative will involve collaboration with ITIs and private training institutions. Job fairs will be organized post-training to connect youth with employment opportunities.
Addressing the students, Chouhan remarked that every child possesses talent and the potential for success.
“Every child has immense intelligence, talent, and the capacity to succeed. Be it a boy or a girl, no child is weak. What they need is confidence, proper guidance, and opportunities,” he stated.
During his visit to Raisen, he also held a meeting with senior administrative officials to review development projects and the implementation of various government schemes in the district.
