Chhatarpur, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : Chief Minister Mohan Yadav of Madhya Pradesh announced that the government is committed to addressing farmers’ issues and providing necessary support. Speaking virtually at the Balram Agricultural Festival in Chhatarpur, he emphasized the hard work of farmers, referring to them as “sons of the soil” who cultivate crops for everyone.
Yadav assured that the government is working to resolve the challenges faced by farmers. He praised the natural resources of Bundelkhand, calling it the “land of diamonds,” and highlighted the region’s peppermint cultivation. He also noted improvements in furniture quality.
The Balram Agricultural Festival aimed to educate farmers in Chhatarpur about the latest technology, advanced agricultural practices, and modern resources for the rabi season. The event commenced with local representatives lighting a lamp, after which farmers shared innovative agricultural practices with the Chief Minister.
Progressive farmer Saleem Khan informed Yadav about organic and natural farming methods, holistic farming, and medicinal crop production. Saurabh Bhatnagar, a farmer from Bijawar, described his work in organic farming, fruit, and vegetable production, along with holistic practices like poultry and fish farming.
Anil Yadav from Hatna shared his success in establishing a custom hiring center, where he purchased six agricultural machines, including a tractor, earning a profit of approximately 5.5 lakh last year by renting these out to fellow farmers.
Tulsa Kushwaha, a female farmer from Lakhanaguwan, reported her profitable ventures in organic farming, vegetable production, and livestock raising. During the festival, the Chief Minister also interacted with various representatives.
The event included the participation of Dilip Ahirwar, Minister of Forest and Environment, along with other officials, who honored ten progressive farmers with certificates. Additionally, children of farmers who excelled in their studies were also recognized.
