Chhatarpur, September 12 (Daily Kiran) : In Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, the Balram Agricultural Festival was held on Saturday as part of the “Krisak Kalyan Varsh 2026.” Chief Minister Mohan Yadav joined the event virtually, engaging with farmers who shared insights about their crops.
CM Yadav took to social media platform X, stating that participating in the festival allowed him to connect with farmers and representatives. He emphasized that the event provided valuable information on the latest techniques, advanced practices, and modern agricultural resources for the district’s farmers, particularly for the rabi season.
Mahendra Singh Yadav, the Apex Bank administrator, highlighted that the festival was instrumental in addressing the needs of farmers. He noted that the state’s agricultural economy was reaching new heights thanks to the hard work of farmers. The government is focused on increasing farmers’ income, reducing farming costs, and enhancing production through technology and innovation.
The festival also featured an exhibition that proved beneficial for attendees, allowing them to learn about various agricultural practices. Minister Dilip Ahirwar expressed optimism about the benefits farmers would gain from the event. He mentioned that many farmers are now engaged in organic farming alongside livestock rearing. The government plans to improve electricity access for farmers, empowering them further.
A large number of farmers attended the festival. Salim Khan, a farmer, remarked on the positive impact of government schemes, stating that farmers could advance by taking advantage of these initiatives. Saurabh Bhatnagar noted that during the event, the CM inquired about the farmers’ well-being and informed them about ongoing agricultural programs aimed at providing training and support.
One woman mentioned that the program included information on how to prepare organic fertilizers at home, showcasing the practical knowledge shared during the festival.
