Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Praises Modi as a Unique Political Example
CM Mohan Yadav hails PM Modi as a unique political figure, citing his consistent electoral success in India and his significant impact on national politics.
Bhopal, October 12 (Daily Kiran) : Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a remarkable figure in both Indian and global politics. Yadav noted that Modi has consistently won elections, becoming Chief Minister each time he ran for the state assembly and securing the Prime Minister’s position whenever he contested for parliament.
According to Yadav, such a unique record is hard to find, not just in India but worldwide. He emphasized that although Modi hails from Gujarat, he has carved out a distinct identity on the national stage.
Discussing the moment Modi was declared the BJP’s candidate for Prime Minister, Yadav recalled that it was a time when coalition politics dominated India for nearly 25 years. Following the assassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1984, the Congress party gained a majority in the subsequent elections. From 1989 to 2013, coalition politics became the norm, leading many to believe that forming a government without alliances was nearly impossible. The BJP was often viewed as incapable of securing a majority on its own.
In this challenging political landscape, Yadav described the BJP’s decision to nominate Modi as a significant and bold step. At that time, various names were considered for the party leadership, but the BJP placed its trust in Modi’s leadership. This decision symbolized strong commitment and political confidence. The public responded with enthusiasm, marking a pivotal moment in Indian politics that ultimately led to Modi’s historic victory and his ascension as Prime Minister.
Yadav also discussed the government’s initiative to provide free grain to approximately 800 million people, describing it as a significant step towards realizing the concept of ‘Ram Rajya.’ He pointed to various welfare initiatives, including the Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Svanidhi, and Ujjwala Yojana, which have positively impacted millions of lives and empowered the populace.
Furthermore, he noted that major decisions like the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and demonetization have laid the groundwork for significant changes in the country’s economic framework. Initiatives such as the abolition of triple talaq and the introduction of a new justice code have also aimed to create a more equitable and inclusive legal system.
