Barrackpore, April 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large crowd at an election rally in Barrackpore on Monday. Many attendees shared their thoughts with a news agency.
Samira Rajbhar, a local artist, expressed her excitement after presenting her painting to PM Modi. She stated, “I put a lot of effort into creating this painting. PM Modi appreciated it and took it with him. I spent an entire day working on it, and now I’m eagerly waiting for a letter from him.”
Saurabh Dev, another attendee, voiced concerns about the current state of Bengal, saying, “The people are suffering, the land is being sold, and lives are at stake. There is an anti-incumbency wave against the ruling party. PM Modi’s statements resonate with us. We need to eradicate corruption in Bengal and create job opportunities for the youth. Women, who have been sidelined under the TMC government, need to be uplifted.”
Payal Shah, also present at the rally, emphasized the need to address women’s issues. “Someone must speak out about the treatment of women here. It is evident that after incidents of violence, compensation is offered, but women are still being exploited. We need protection for women.”
Sharvani Das expressed her satisfaction with the promises made by PM Modi regarding women’s rights in the manifesto. “We believe that a BJP government will improve the situation in Bengal. The atmosphere is already changing, and we are hopeful. This time, we will ensure the lotus blooms.”
Nav Kumar Dev confidently stated, “This time, a BJP government is guaranteed. The time has come to end the chaos in Bengal. We need change because jobs are scarce, and factories are closed. Reviving these industries is essential.”
