Lindsay Lohan Seeks New Challenges Beyond Romantic Roles

Los Angeles, May 14: Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan is making headlines once again. Known globally for her role in “The Parent Trap,” Lindsay is now looking to pivot her career. After spending years in romantic and comedic roles, she is eager to explore serious and diverse characters. Recently, she opened up about her upcoming drama series “Count My Lies,” explaining why this project is particularly significant for her.

Lindsay stated, “This is my first major scripted series where I am playing the lead role. Previously, I had smaller parts, but this experience is entirely different. The character in this series is quite distinct from all my past work, and that excites me the most.”

She added, “I am often seen as an actress limited to romantic comedies. While audiences have enjoyed me in such roles, I want to prove myself further as an artist. To grow creatively, it’s essential to take on new characters, which is why I am now seeking different stories and roles.”

In this new series, Lindsay will star alongside Kit Harington, who gained fame from the popular series “Game of Thrones.” Both actors will portray a married couple in the show.

Kit Harington also shared his thoughts about the series, saying, “It’s a fun thriller filled with twists. We have completed filming, and this is the first time I am discussing it with the media, so I’m still figuring out how to present it to the audience.”

During the conversation, Lindsay reminisced about her early days. She remarked, “Sudden fame at a young age was not easy for me. My life completely changed after ‘The Parent Trap.’ At that time, I should have listened to my parents and returned to New York, but I wanted to stay in Los Angeles.”

Reflecting on her past, she noted, “Looking back, I realize that as a teenager, one doesn’t fully understand how to make decisions. The world of fame and glamour appears beautiful from the outside, but it can be just as challenging on the inside.”

Lindsay also mentioned a time when she felt bored with the film industry. “I wasn’t getting roles that I truly wanted. The constant attention and scrutiny on my personal life became overwhelming. That’s why I decided to move to Dubai in 2014.”
