
Patna, May 29: Tragic incidents of lightning strikes in Bihar have claimed the lives of seven individuals across various districts. Families are mourning as the state grapples with this devastating loss. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary expressed his sorrow over these events and has directed that immediate compensation of four lakh rupees be provided to the families of the deceased.
In Gaya district, three fatalities were reported, while two lives were lost in Aurangabad, and one each in Saran and Khagaria. The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, stating that this is an extremely tragic event and that the government stands with the affected families during this difficult time.
He instructed officials to ensure that the compensation of four lakh rupees reaches the families promptly, providing them with some relief. Additionally, the Chief Minister urged the public to exercise heightened caution during adverse weather conditions.
In a post on the social media platform X, he wrote, “The untimely deaths of two individuals in Aurangabad, three in Gaya, one in Saran, and one in Khagaria due to lightning strikes are deeply saddening.” He further expressed his profound sympathies to the grieving families, praying for peace for the departed souls and strength for their loved ones during this challenging period.
The Chief Minister also appealed to everyone to remain vigilant during inclement weather and to follow the guidelines issued by the disaster management department to avoid lightning strikes. He advised people to stay indoors as much as possible during bad weather to ensure their safety.
