New Delhi, April 5: LG is gearing up to launch its UltraGear OLED 39GX950B gaming monitor on April 9, following its initial announcement in December 2025. This 39-inch model is now featured on LG’s Canadian website, with a reported price of CNY 14,999 in China, approximately $2,179. LG Japan has confirmed that sales will commence at 14:00 local time, although availability in other regions remains unverified.
The monitor boasts a 39-inch OLED panel with a stunning 5120 x 2160 resolution in a 21:9 aspect ratio. Its 1500R curved screen enhances the field of view compared to standard 32-inch 4K displays, achieving a pixel density of 143 PPI. It supports a maximum refresh rate of 165Hz at full 5K2K resolution and can switch to an impressive 330Hz at 2560 x 1080 through VESA-certified Dual Mode.
Equipped with an onboard processor for AI upscaling, the monitor allows content from connected devices to be scaled to 5K2K without the need for a GPU upgrade. Connectivity options include DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and USB Type-C with up to 90W power delivery, facilitating high-bandwidth input and single-cable setups.
Utilizing 4th Gen Tandem OLED technology, the display achieves a typical brightness of 335 nits and a peak brightness of up to 1500 nits under HDR conditions. It supports VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and covers up to 99.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, featuring 10-bit color and 1.07 billion colors. The contrast ratio is rated at an impressive 1,850,000:1.
For gaming enthusiasts, the monitor offers a rapid 0.03ms (GtG) response time, along with NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support to minimize tearing and stutter. Additional gaming features include Black Stabilizer, Dynamic Action Sync, an FPS counter, and crosshair tools.
Audio is managed by dual 7W speakers with AI Sound processing, which separates in-game audio elements and simulates a 7.1.2 channel experience. AI Scene Optimization adjusts picture settings based on the type of content being displayed.
The monitor also includes UL-certified eye comfort features such as reduced flicker, low blue light emission, and an anti-glare coating. Physical adjustments include tilt, height, and swivel capabilities, complemented by a virtually borderless design and wall-mount support.
