
Mumbai, March 2: Lenovo has officially announced that its upcoming Legion Y700 5th-generation tablet will debut this March. Ahead of the launch, the company has revealed key hardware specifications, showcasing notable performance improvements over its predecessor. Here’s what to expect from the Y700 in terms of performance.

The Legion Y700 (2026) will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, recognized as the most powerful chip in the Android market. This makes the Y700 the first compact tablet to incorporate this new flagship silicon. Lenovo has equipped the device with LPDDR5T RAM rated at 10667Mbps and UFS 4.1 Pro storage, ensuring rapid memory access and faster data transfers. Reports indicate that the tablet will offer configurations of up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage.
In AnTuTu testing, the tablet achieved an impressive score of 4,532,189, surpassing competitors such as the iQOO 15 Ultra, which scored 4,518,403, and the Honor Windows device at 4,409,382. Based on these results, Lenovo is positioning the Y700 as the most powerful small Android tablet currently available.
The Lenovo Y700 maintains an 8.8-inch display with a resolution of 3040 x 1904 pixels. It features a 165Hz refresh rate, 408 PPI pixel density, 2640Hz instantaneous touch sampling, and a 480Hz multi-touch sampling rate. The screen can achieve up to 800 nits of global brightness, covers the DCI-P3 color gamut, and supports 12-bit color depth. Additionally, it has TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free viewing.
Lenovo has also introduced an AI-based network acceleration feature designed for gamers. Under challenging network conditions, the company claims gaming latency can decrease by 54.8%, while stuttering instances may drop by 42.7% compared to competing devices. The tablet will be available in both black and white colors.
