New Delhi, August 19: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. He stated that the language used by the Congress MP indicates a need for improvement in his behavior. Rijiju urged Gandhi to reflect seriously on the matter.
He emphasized that leaders who promote chaos should not receive support in the country.
In a conversation, Rijiju remarked that any leader, whether from Congress or elsewhere, who acts against the Constitution and incites disorder, should not be backed.
He mentioned that he had met with Rahul Gandhi and also spoke with him over the phone. While he respects Gandhi as the Leader of the Opposition, he noted that efforts to maintain order in Parliament have not been successful. It is well-known that if Rahul Gandhi chooses, Congress MPs could refrain from using abusive language, shouting, and creating disturbances. Rijiju believes that Gandhi is the only leader within the Congress party who can correct the behavior of his MPs.
Regarding the connection of Aam Aadmi Party’s Abhijit Dipke with the CJP, Rijiju stated that it is widely known that the Aam Aadmi Party lost the elections and has since focused on advancing students. He acknowledged that Abhijit Dipke is an AAP worker. The central government is attentive to the concerns of students, and Prime Minister Modi has taken steps in this direction. However, no party should attempt to exploit this situation for political gain.
Referring to the delimitation bill, he expressed that the government is seeking support from Congress. If Congress shows a positive attitude and is open to changes, they might consider supporting the initiative.
