Prayagraj, February 13: Uttar Pradesh’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya responded sharply to comments made by Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav. He remarked that Yadav has been in a state of despair and stress since Tejashwi Yadav’s dreams of becoming Chief Minister in Bihar were dashed.
During a media interaction in Prayagraj, Maurya stated that Yadav’s stress leads him to make impulsive statements. He pointed out that Akhilesh Yadav campaigned for Tejashwi Yadav in the Bihar Assembly elections, where the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) secured only 25 out of 243 seats. Since the dismal performance of the opposition in Bihar, Maurya believes Yadav has been under pressure, resulting in erratic remarks.
Maurya emphasized that the central and state governments have presented an impressive budget, suggesting that Yadav will continue to see gloom not just until 2027, but even until 2047. He claimed that while Akhilesh Yadav may dream of power, he is unlikely to achieve it, which has led to his agitation. Under Prime Minister Modi’s guidance, the state government is progressing on the path of development.
He also mentioned ‘Seva Teerth‘, highlighting its significance as a symbol of trust, resolve, and pride for 1.4 billion Indians. This initiative represents a new duty-oriented work culture in India, where service is the foundation of governance and public welfare is the ultimate goal. Maurya expressed his belief that this transformation will be a significant milestone in India’s journey towards development.
