Karur Vysya Bank surges on starting online customs duty payment facility for customers

Karur Vysya Bank is currently trading at Rs. 47.60, up by 0.10 points or 0.21% from its previous closing of Rs. 47.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 48.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 48.45 and Rs. 47.35 respectively. So far 186407 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group ‘B’ stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 64.50 on 12-Mar-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 38.40 on 23-Aug-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 48.75 and Rs. 45.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3796.90 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 2.12%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.60% and 59.28% respectively.

Karur Vysya Bank has started online customs duty payment facility for its customers through ‘ICEGATE’ portal of Central Board for Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC). CBIC had earlier approved the inclusion of the bank as one of the authorized bankers for collection of taxes. This facility opens doors for the bank for further acquisition of current account customers.

The link for customs payment has now been enabled in ICEGATE (Indian Customs Electronic Gateway), the national portal of Indian Customs of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs that provides e-filing services to the trade, cargo carriers and other trading partners electronically.

Karur Vysya Bank is among six old generation private sector banks that have been identified by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to implement Speed Clearing at Mumbai.
