Mumbai, March 30: The upcoming horror-comedy film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ featuring Akshay Kumar has generated significant buzz. This film marks the reunion of Akshay Kumar with renowned director Priyadarshan.
Bengali cinema’s celebrated actor Jeetu Sengupta plays a pivotal role in the film. In a recent interview, he openly discussed his experiences on set.
Speaking about his time on the film, Jeetu Sengupta said, “Working on the film set was a unique and challenging experience for me. Initially, it took me some time to grasp director Priyadarshan’s working style. I felt a bit anxious during the first two days. This nervousness stemmed from the opportunity to work with ‘The’ Priyadarshan, a name that commands respect throughout the film industry.”
He added, “On set, Priyadarshan is very relaxed. He consults all team members and makes every effort to keep the work enjoyable. At first, I was somewhat confused because he provided minimal feedback. I was concerned that there might be something wrong with my performance. However, I later learned that this is Priyadarshan’s approach. If everything is going well, he remains silent; if something needs improvement, he clearly communicates it.”
Jeetu Sengupta continued, “Once I understood the director’s working method, I became more confident and relaxed on set. Working with Akshay Kumar was a fantastic experience. He always maintains a positive attitude, and collaborating with him brings a unique energy.”
Reflecting on the film’s shooting in London, Jeetu mentioned that although he was alone, his experience on set was memorable.
The film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ also features Akshay Kumar, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Vamika Gabbi, and the late actor Asrani in significant roles. It is set to release on April 10.
