Jay Shah’s term as ACC President extended

Colombo, March 19 : Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah’s term as the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) was on Saturday unanimously extended by a year. The decision was taken at the ACC Annual General Meeting meeting here. “ACC Members unanimously decided that the tenure of Jay Shah as ACC President and that of the Executive Board along with its Committees will continue until the 2024,” ACC tweeted. Shah was appointed the ACC President in January last year. The other key decisions taken in AGM meeting was that the Asia Cup 2022 (T20 format) will be held in Sri Lanka from August 27 to September 11 this year. Its qualifiers will be played from August 20. The ACC also upgraded the Qatar Cricket Association’s membership from associate to full member status. BAV MR
