
Reasi, May 19: In a significant operation, the Jammu and Kashmir Police in Reasi launched a special campaign against seized narcotics. Following directives from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Reasi District Drug Disposal Committee (DDC) successfully disposed of 21 cases of prohibited substances under Section 52A of the NDPS Act.
This action was carried out under the orders of the District Drug Disposal Committee, chaired by the SSP of Reasi, through a controlled incineration process at Anmol Healthcare in Samba district.
During the operation, over 8 kilograms of narcotics, including heroin, cannabis, and opium, were destroyed, along with approximately 7,000 capsules. The campaign, conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), ensured the safe and permanent disposal of a significant quantity of drugs. This initiative reaffirms the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s unwavering commitment to eliminating the threat of narcotics and enhancing community safety.
The District Drug Disposal Committee, which includes the Deputy SP Headquarters Reasi, Deputy SP DAR DPL Reasi, Deputy SP ANTF, and Deputy SP CID CI, played a crucial role in the successful implementation of this operation.
