New Delhi, May 4: Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) announced the results for the Class 12 board examinations for the academic year 2025-26 on Monday. Once again, girls have outperformed boys, showcasing their academic prowess.
According to the released results, the overall pass percentage this year stood at 92%. Girls excelled in all three streams: Science, Arts, and Commerce.
In the Science stream, 94.84% of girls passed, compared to 91.4% of boys. In Commerce, 92.77% of girls succeeded, while only 85.27% of boys passed. In the Arts stream, an impressive 97.64% of girls passed, whereas 88.77% of boys achieved success in the board examinations.
The results were announced by JMI’s Vice Chancellor, Mazhar Asif, and the Registrar, Mohd Mahtab Alam Rizvi, along with the Controller of Examinations, Ehteshamul Haq, in the presence of university officials and principals from Jamia schools.
In the Science stream, Syma Rizvi from Jamia Senior Secondary School topped with 98.8%. Mo Kaleem Ansari from Syed Abid Hussain Senior Secondary School secured second place with 97.4%, while Mo Muaz Alam from Jamia Senior Secondary School came in third with 97.2%.
In Commerce, Mo Sahil Saifi from Jamia Senior Secondary School achieved the highest score of 97.4%. Rukhsar Parveen and Laiba Ayubi, also from Jamia Senior Secondary School, shared second place with 97.2%, while Shayaan Hasan Khan from Syed Abid Hussain Senior Secondary School took third with 96.8%.
In the Arts stream, Kashifa from Jamia Girls Senior Secondary School scored the highest with 98.2%. Ilma Shameem from Jamia Girls Senior Secondary School and Halima Parveen from Jamia Senior Secondary School both secured second place with 97.6%.
