Iranian President Warns of Continued Tensions Amid Israeli Attacks on Lebanon

New Delhi, April 9: Tensions are escalating once again due to increasing military attacks and ceasefire violations in Lebanon. Israeli strikes have raised serious questions about regional stability. Iran has issued a clear warning that if these actions persist, “our fingers are still on the trigger.”

Iran has condemned the repeated aggressions against Lebanon as a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement. The Iranian government asserts that the continuation of these aggressive actions will render negotiations meaningless. Iran vows never to abandon its Lebanese brothers and sisters, indicating a dangerous lack of commitment to dialogue and potential agreements.

Iranian President Masoud Pajeshkian posted on the social media platform ‘X’, stating, “Israel’s renewed incursions into Lebanon are a clear violation of the initial ceasefire agreement. This is a dangerous sign of deceit and a lack of commitment to future possible agreements. The continuation of these actions will undermine negotiations. Our fingers are still on the trigger. Iran will never abandon its Lebanese brothers and sisters.”

Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron has strongly criticized the Israeli attacks. A ceasefire facilitated by Pakistan between Iran and the United States was established just before Israel launched its assault on Lebanon.

President Macron mentioned that he spoke with the Lebanese President and Prime Minister, expressing France’s full solidarity in the face of these deadly attacks. Israel has claimed that its strikes targeted over 100 command centers and military sites belonging to the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah.

After discussions with the Lebanese Prime Minister and President, President Macron wrote on social media platform X, “These attacks pose a direct threat to the recently established ceasefire. Lebanon must be fully included under this ceasefire.”

Media reports indicate that U.S. Vice President Vance is preparing to travel to Islamabad for negotiations aimed at ending the U.S.-Israel war against Iran. Following an agreement on a two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran, talks are ongoing with Pakistan’s mediation.

In the meantime, Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, shared information on social media regarding the arrival of an Iranian delegation in Pakistan. However, he later deleted his post.

At this point, it remains uncertain who from Iran will participate in the negotiations in Pakistan.
