Iranian Embassy Hosts Exhibition of Drawings from Minab School Debris

New Delhi, April 12: The Iranian Embassy in New Delhi has organized an exhibition titled “Angels of Minab,” showcasing children’s drawings. The exhibition also features artwork recovered from the debris of an elementary school in Minab, which was destroyed following airstrikes by the United States and Israel on February 28.

The attack on the school occurred during the early stages of the military strikes, resulting in the tragic deaths of over 165 children and staff members. Reports indicate that a U.S. Tomahawk missile targeted the area near the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps naval base. Subsequent U.S. assessments acknowledged responsibility, labeling the incident as a targeting error rather than a deliberate attack.

Through this exhibition, the Iranian Embassy aims to draw attention to human values amidst conflict, presenting the recovered drawings as a glimpse into a world once filled with innocence and hope.

This initiative aligns with Iran’s broader diplomatic message, especially following the failure of peace talks with the United States in Islamabad.

On social media platform X, the Iranian Embassy stated, “These drawings were recovered from the rubble of a school in Minab, which was devastated by a military attack from the U.S. and the Zionist regime.”

The Embassy further noted, “The pages recovered by the Red Crescent rescue team have been minimally restored to preserve their visibility. The world depicted in them remains simple, bright, and trustworthy. However, the outside world has changed drastically. Children should never be victims of war; yet, with every conflict, countless worlds are lost alongside them.”

Earlier on Saturday, an image surfaced showing Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf on a flight to Islamabad, with photos of the children killed in the Minab school attack placed on the seats. Accompanying these images were the children’s school bags and roses, creating a poignant tribute to the victims.

During the flight to Islamabad, Ghalibaf conveyed a message through this image. Inside the aircraft, several empty seats were adorned with photos and personal belongings of the victims of the Minab school strike. According to Iranian officials, these children lost their lives in the U.S.-Israeli attack.

Sharing the image on X, Ghalibaf wrote, “Minab 168, my companions on this flight.” He referred to the children and staff who perished in the February 28 strike as his companions on this journey.

The incident reportedly resulted in at least 165 fatalities and over 100 injuries. As high-level discussions take place in Pakistan, Iran is strengthening its position and delivering a message on the international stage.
