Mumbai, March 6: Iranian actress Mandana Karimi has become a hot topic on social media following the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei. She claims that her statements are being misrepresented online, overshadowing the true narrative of Iran.
In a recent Instagram video, Karimi addressed the rumors circulating about her potential departure from India. She clarified that while she may leave India, it will not be to return to Iran, where she has been banned for the past decade.
Karimi expressed her frustration over the lack of support from India in recent months. Due to security concerns, she has been confined to one location for the past two months, away from her close friends, and has had to cancel several events.
She also paid tribute to Reza Shah Pahlavi, stating, “The conversation should focus on my people, their struggles, the future of Iran, and our leader Reza Shah Pahlavi, who symbolizes hope for many Iranians in rebuilding our country after this regime’s fall. It is crucial to understand the reality of the Islamic Republic and why this regime must end. The voices of those Iranians risking everything for freedom must be heard. I will never shy away from speaking about Iran and my people—today, tomorrow, or ever.”
In previous interviews, Karimi mentioned that she has struggled to find work in India and that many friends have distanced themselves due to her outspoken views on Iran. This has contributed to her desire to leave the country.
