Bhopal, May 6: The Madhya Pradesh Police Headquarters has announced the transfer of IPS officers, reallocating key responsibilities across various divisions. The order, issued by the state’s Director General of Police Kailash Makwana, is effective immediately and includes several officers from the 2009 to 2016 batches being assigned new roles.
According to the directives, Avadhesh Goswami from the 2009 batch, previously serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) at the police headquarters, has been appointed as DIG (Welfare/Accounts). Another officer from the same batch, Prashant Khare, has been assigned the role of DIG (Crime Investigation Department). Manish Agarwal, also from the 2009 batch, will now serve as DIG (Training).
Kiranlata Kerketta from the 2010 batch, who was serving as DIG (Women’s Safety), is now appointed as DIG (Complaints). Manoj Kumar Rai, also from the 2010 batch, has been designated as DIG (Selection and Recruitment).
Riyaz Iqbal from the 2011 batch has been entrusted with the role of DIG (Administration), while Rahul Kumar Lodha from the same batch has been appointed as DIG (Special Task Force). Another officer from the 2011 batch, Shimala Prasad, will now oversee DIG (Women’s Safety).
Shivdayal from the 2012 batch has been appointed as DIG (Arms and Ammunition). From the 2016 batch, Manish Khatri has been designated as Assistant Inspector General (Crime Investigation Department), while Ramsharan Prajapati has been assigned as Assistant Inspector General (Selection and Recruitment).
These changes aim to streamline the operations at headquarters and strengthen specialized departments such as training, welfare, women’s safety, administration, and recruitment. By appointing experienced officers to these positions, the police leadership seeks to enhance efficiency and accountability across the force. This move is viewed as part of a broader strategy to ensure effective policing and improved coordination within the state’s law enforcement system.
