IPL 2026: Vaibhavs Explosive Century Leads Rajasthan Royals to 228 Against SRH

Jaipur, April 26: In the 36th match of IPL 2026, Rajasthan Royals (RR) faced off against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Sawai Mansingh Cricket Stadium. Batting first, Rajasthan Royals set a formidable target of 228 runs, losing 6 wickets in the process.

After losing the toss, RR’s start was shaky. Yashasvi Jaiswal struggled with the bat, scoring only 10 runs before being dismissed. However, Vaibhav Suryaanshi and Dhruv Jurel steadied the innings. The duo forged a remarkable partnership, adding 112 runs for the second wicket off just 62 balls. Vaibhav showcased his exceptional form, completing his second IPL century in just 36 balls.

Vaibhav’s innings included 5 fours and an impressive 12 sixes, making it the third-fastest century in IPL history. He scored a powerful 103 runs off 37 balls. Jurel also contributed significantly, scoring 51 runs off 35 balls with 8 fours and a six. Riyan Parag’s performance was disappointing once again, managing only 7 runs from 9 balls.

Shimron Hetmyer also failed to make a mark, scoring 11 runs off 10 balls before falling to Praful Hinge. Donovan Ferreira made a valuable contribution in the final overs, scoring 33 runs off 16 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes. Ravindra Jadeja could only manage 4 runs, while Jofra Archer remained not out with 2 runs. For SRH, Praful Hinge and Ishan Malinga took two wickets each, while Saqib Hussain and Pat Cummins claimed one wicket each.

Under Riyan Parag’s captaincy, Rajasthan Royals featured Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Suryaanshi, Dhruv Jurel (wicketkeeper), Shimron Hetmyer, Donovan Ferreira, Ravindra Jadeja, Jofra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, Nandre Burger, and Brijesh Sharma.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, led by Pat Cummins, included Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen, Salil Arora (wicketkeeper), Aniket Verma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Shivang Kumar, Saqib Hussain, Praful Hinge, and Ishan Malinga in their lineup.
