IPL 2026: Rajasthan Royals vs Gujarat Titans

Jaipur, May 9: The 52nd match of IPL 2026 is set to take place at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, featuring Rajasthan Royals (RR) against Gujarat Titans (GT). This match promises to be thrilling. RR aims to secure a win to strengthen their playoff chances by moving into the top two, while GT seeks victory to solidify their playoff position.

Rajasthan Royals boast a strong and balanced team. With 12 points from 10 matches, including 6 wins, they currently sit in third place. After a recent loss to Delhi Capitals, RR will look to bounce back on their home ground against GT, aiming for 14 points to secure a top-two spot.

Gujarat Titans have had a rollercoaster season. Just when expectations dip, they manage to bounce back strongly. After starting the season with two consecutive losses, GT won three matches in a row, only to lose two again, followed by another three victories. They will be eager to land a win against RR to break into the top four.

Like RR, GT also has 12 points. A win would elevate them to 14 points; however, their negative run rate may keep them in fifth place even with a victory.

In their first encounter this season, GT faced defeat against RR, failing to chase down a target of 211 runs and losing by 6 runs. GT will undoubtedly seek revenge in Jaipur.

Both teams have formidable top three batsmen, and whichever team’s top order performs well is likely to dominate the match. RR’s top three include Vaibhav Suryaanshi, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Dhruv Jurel, while GT features captain Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler.

To date, the two teams have played 10 matches, with GT winning 6 and RR winning 4.
